1919

Birthplace: Sabajpur, Near Dhaka (Now in Bangladesh) at his Maternal Uncle’s House

1934

Education: 
Dinajpur Zilla School, passed Matriculation from this school in 1934

1936

Guwahati Cotton College in Assam: passed intermediate from Cotton College in 1936.

1936

Scottish Church College in Calcutta: Got admitted for B.A. Course in Philosophy Honours in this College.

1938

Completed his Bachelor of Arts Course in 1938 from  Presidency College

1938

In Dinajpur, while studying in Class VII, Satyakrishna had an opportunity to play marbles with Most Revered Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj, a Direct Monastic Disciple of Sri Ramakrishna.
 
Satyakrishna met Revered Abhedanandaji Maharaj, another Direct Monastic Disciple of Sri Ramakrishna at the Vedanta Math in Calcutta.
 
Satyakrishna shifted to Calcutta Students’ Home from Ogilvie Hostel in January 1938.

12th January 1938

On 12th January 1938, Satyakrishna received Spiritual initiation / Diksha from the then Most Revered 4th President Swami Vijnananandaji Maharaj at Belur Math.

1941

On 3rd January 1941, Satyakrishna Bhattacharya joined the Ramakrishna Order at Belur Math.

1945

Satyakrishna received Brahmacharya Vows from Swami Virajanandaji Maharaj, the then 6th President at Belur Math in the year 1945 and was named as Brahmachari Shantichaitanya.

1949

Satyakrishna received Sannyasa Vows from the then 6th President, Swami Virajanandaji Maharaj on Thakur Sri Ramakrishna’s Janmatithi on 1st March 1949 at Belurmath.

1951

Swami Atmasthananda then went to Kasar Devi in Almora, DehraDun, Brindavan with Revered Jagadanandaji Maharaj, a disciple of the Holy Mother in 1951.

1952

Swami Atmasthananda was posted to Ranchi T.B. Sanatorium as its Assistant Secretary in 1952.

1951

Swami Atmasthananda then went to Kasar Devi in Almora, DehraDun, Brindavan with Revered Jagadanandaji Maharaj, a disciple of the Holy Mother in 1951.

1952

Swami Atmasthananda was posted to Ranchi T.B. Sanatorium as its Assistant Secretary in 1952.

1958

Swami Atmasthananda was sent to Rangoon Ramakrishna Mission to take charge of the Centre and also the Charitable Hospital run by the centre.

1966

On 6th March 1966, Swami Atmasthananda took over the charge from Swami Bhuteshanandaji Maharaj at Ramakrishna Mission Rajkot in Gujarat. Planned to built a Temple at Rajkot Ashrama.

1971

The foundation stone of the New Temple was laid by the then 10th President Most Revered Swami Vireswarananadaji Maharaj on 16th August 1971

1973

Swami Atmasthananda became one of the Trustees of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission in 1973.

1977-1979

Swami Atmasthananda started extensive relief activities during this time (1977-1979)

1980

Swami Atmasthananda successfully conducted the Devotees Convention at Belur Math in 1980.

15th April 1992

Swami Atmasthananda became the General Secretary of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission on the Bengali New Year Day on 15th April 1992.

22nd May 1997

On the auspicious Buddha Purnima Tithi on 22nd May 1997, Most Revered Swami Atmasthanandaji Maharaj became one of the Vice Presidents of the Ramakrishna Order.

3rd December 2007

On 3rd December 2007, Swami Atmasthanandaji Maharaj was elected as the 15th President of the Ramakrishna Order. He shifted to the President’s Quarters on 12th December 2007.

6th December 2014

Inaugurated the New President’s Quarters at Belur Math on 12th November 2014 and finally shifted there on 6th December 2014.

21st February 2015

21st February 2015: Was admitted to Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan in the evening.

18th June 2017

2017: Sunday, 18th June at 5.30pm, Most Revered Swami Atmasthanandaji Maharaj entered into Mahasamadhi.

19th June 2017

The Last rites of Most Revered Maharaj were performed at Belurmath on 19th June 2017 at 9.30pm.
